How to Burn the Perfect Candle

What many people don't know is that all candles have a memory. The first time you burn your candle, "break it in" properly: burn your candle candle one hour per inch of diameter of your candle. Burn our container candles 3 continuous hours the very first time it is burned. Then extinguish and let cool. Now your candle has a "memory" and will burn much better on future lightings, helping it burn all the way to the edges.

A LITTLE TIP-   Do you hate the way wicks smoke when you blow out your candles?

We use all paper core wicks instead of ones containing metal so there is little to no smoking while burning when the wick is trimmed properly. But unfortunately there's no way to get around wicks smoking if you blow them out. That is why we advise that with any candle you dip the wicks into the melted wax (using a wick dipper, knife, paper clip, etc.) and then straighten them back out instead of blowing them out. This not only eliminates the smoke but also eliminates any chance of hot wick debris flying onto something flammable and primes your wick for the next lighting

Flame Height

As with all candles, keep your wicks trimmed before lighting.
If a flame is too high and smoking some, the wick is too long. Extinguish the candle and trim ( a nail clippers works great for trimming wicks!) the wicks and re-light.

If flame is too low and "drowning", the wick is trimmed too short.
Extinguish, pour off a little wax and re-light.

CANDLE SAFETY

WARNING - Failure to follow these instructions could result in fire, property damage or injury

Candles can be dangerous if carelessly or improperly used:
The following instructions are important for you to safely enjoy your new scents. NEVER leave a burning candle UNATTENDED!
Always keep an eye on any lit candle. You are playing with fire.

Never burn the last 1/4 inch of "any" candle!
Burning to the bottom can present a higher fire hazard (flammable impurities can collect over time in the bottom of the container).

BURN CANDLES FOR NO MORE THAN 3-4 HOURS AT ONE TIME!

Keep your wicks trimmed to about 1.4 inch to 1/8 inch at all times !
To avoid too high of flames or any smoking.

Place all burning candles on heat-and-flame resistant surfaces
as all containers get very hot.

Keep candles away from children, pets and objects that can be flammable!

Keep your candles AWAY FROM DRAFTS !
They will cause your candle to burn unevenly and present a fire hazard. Keep your flame away from moving objects, such as pets and curtains,

Do not blow out your candles.
Instead snuff out your candles or dip the wicks in wax - blowing them out may allow lit pieces of wick to land on flammable surroundings.
